The Golden Shears 2025 Awards

The final of the Golden Shears Competition took place on the 18th of March at The Merchant Taylors’ Hall in the City of London.

As one of the most prestigious tailoring competitions in the UK, the event highlights the remarkable craftsmanship and creativity that define the future of bespoke tailoring.

This year the winner of the Award is Joanna Spreadbury an apprentice at Huntsman Savile Row. In second place and winner of the Silver Shears was Tilda Jonathan, studying at the London College of Fashion. In third place and winner of the Rising Star award was Kasia Hughes an apprentice at Connock and Lockie.

Tilda, a previous winner of the Scabal Student Competitions, once again demonstrated her exceptional skills through her designs using our Scabal fabric.

This year, the London College of Fashion had an impressive presence in the competition, with nine finalists making it to the final round—an incredible achievement that reflects the high standard of training and innovation of their students.
