The next generation of talent at London College of Fashion

We’re proud to continue our ongoing sponsorship of the Industry Project for the 2nd Year Bespoke Tailoring Course at UAL: London College of Fashion.

An initiative that supports emerging talent and encourages innovation in craftsmanship and design thinking.

This year’s brief challenged students to explore the concept of bespoke, adaptable outerwear, challenging them to consider the needs of clients with uniquely dynamic lifestyles. The client profiles were as imaginative as they were demanding. As examples:

  • A pearl supplier inspired by the ocean
  • A motorcyclist on a pan-European adventure
  • A Formula 1 driver on a skiing holiday
  • An environmentalist who lives at sea

Each student was asked to create a bespoke piece that not only served the client’s practical needs but also expressed their personality, passions, and environment. At its core, this project was not only about mastering garment construction, but also about understanding people, solving real-world challenges through design, and redefining the boundaries of bespoke tailoring.

We’re incredibly excited to see the finished results and to continue supporting the future of fashion through initiatives like this. Discover the film here:
