At the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles during the 2026 Academy Awards, Conan O’Brien takes to the stage in two custom looks developed by High Society, using SCABAL fabrics.
High Society, known for its approach to bespoke eveningwear, and longtime Scabal partner, worked closely with O’Brien to define two silhouettes suited to the rhythm of the evening, each built from fabric chosen for its behavior & endurance as much as its appearance.
The first look centers on a double breasted velvet dinner jacket, cut from the Festival collection -article 853223 and selected by O’Brien himself. Velvet introduces richness and depth, but here it remains controlled. The surface absorbs light without losing intensity, reflecting its majestic quality ideal for both the audience on the night and the ones watching on the screen. The structure always holds, ensuring the jacket maintains its allure throughout the night.
The second silhouette moves to a timeless tuxedo, developed in the Savile Row collection -article 705831, in 100% wool. A compact construction, designed to hold its line. The fabric retains its shape, resists creasing, and ensures a consistent silhouette under continuous wear and stage lighting.
On the stage of the Academy Awards, there is no margin for approximation. Under sustained light, constant movement, across many hours, these fabrics are required to remain intact: in line, in depth, in character and always look their best.
