The Essentials of Trousers Care

Scabal trousers are crafted to combine comfort, precision, and timeless style. To help preserve their quality and appearance over time, we recommend following these care guidelines.

1. Hang Properly

Store trousers on a good-quality hanger with a wide or felted trouser bar to avoid unwanted folds or pressure marks. Hang them upside down from the hems or fold gently along the crease to maintain structure.

2. Allow Time to Recover

Trousers benefit from rest between wears. Rotating them with other pairs allows the fibres to breathe and helps maintain their shape. This prevents bagging at the knees or seat and keeps the crease sharp.

3. Avoid Overwashing

Wool, cashmere, and natural fibre trousers don’t require frequent cleaning. These materials are naturally breathable and odour-resistant. To keep them fresh, air your trousers after each wear and gently spot-clean when needed.

4. Dry Clean with Care

Only dry clean your trousers when absolutely necessary. Always take them to a trusted cleaner and inform them of the fabric blend. Over-dry cleaning can break down fibres and alter the fit and finish of the garment.

6. Travel Tips

When packing, roll your trousers or fold along the crease to avoid deep wrinkles. On arrival, hang them immediately to allow any folds to fall out. For longer trips, consider garment bags or travel hangers to help protect their structure.

  • Triumph Swatch 755045

    Super 100–180 / CASHMERE

These fine fabrics are naturally breathable and resilient but require gentle care. Use a soft clothes brush after wearing, steam to remove wrinkles, and dry clean only when necessary to maintain their quality.

  • COTTON

Cotton is more durable but should still be treated with care in tailored garments. Steam lightly if needed, and prefer dry cleaning to preserve structure and finish.

  • SILK

Silk is extremely delicate and should be dry cleaned only. Store garments away from direct light, and avoid contact with perfumes or deodorants, which can stain the fabric.

  • Pure Linen Swatch 802991

    LINEN

Linen is prone to creasing, so steaming is recommended over ironing. Store on a wide hanger and avoid overcrowding in the wardrobe. Dry clean to help retain structure and longevity.
